Off the Grid

Solar Solutions Bonaire offers high quality solutions in Off-grid systems that can produce energy during the day and also supply energy during the night. This is done by engineering Off-grid systems that include solar panels, inverter, battery charger and batteries. Off-grid systems are not connected to the electricity network and are not dependent on diesel generators. They produce energy by standing in the sun. Of course these systems can work together with a generator that starts automatically in case there is not sufficient energy in the batteries.

The brands and products I mention below have my personal preference but I can also supply you with a width range of other brands and products.

Solar Components

The Solar Solutions primary choice of panel is the Canadian Solar 265 Wp polycrystalline solar panels. These panels are one of the best in class, in terms of power output and long term reliability.

Inverter charger

My choice of off-grid inverter charger is Outback Power. With an emphasis on product performance OutBack has established itself as the product of choice in harsh environmental conditions and applications where product reliability is paramount.

Batteries

Rolls flooded and sealed AGM VRLA products are internationally recognized for their dependability, outstanding quality and industry-leading manufacturer warranties.

Cables and connectors

The cables used in my installations are the Eldra PV Cables with a 4 – 6 mm² width combined with Multi-Contact connecters. Eldra cables are ozone and UV resistant halogen-free and certified up to 1000 VDC. The cables’ core is made out of a tinned, copper conductor and can resist temperatures of up to 120° Celsius. Eldra cables comply with DIN, EN and IEC specifications making it compatible with an array of hardware options.

Mounting

Our mounting brackets are manufactured and shipped from Holland, the result of the skilled craftsmen is a very flexible and price effective racking system suitable for all roofs. All parts are weather resistant and protected from corrosion and all materials used in the rack system are either RVS 316 or anodized aluminum.

Installation

We provide a complete installation kit for your homes individual system. All brackets, bolts and profiles are pre-drilled to the exact measurements. The solar panels and inverter(s) will be mounted in the mutually agreed upon location. The DC cables stretching from the solar panels are attached to the inverter(s) using Multi-Contact connectors.

The solar panels are grouped into strings in order to achieve the right voltage on the inverter. A turn-key offer without surcharges!
